What do you do to relax?

I love taking afternoon naps, reading a book with a cup of coffee and working out!

What’s top on your Bucket’s List?

This is more like a faith list for me - to own a house soon!

What does work mean to you?

When I was younger and much more naive, I believe that people should do what they love and they won't work a day in their life. A little bit older now and hopefully with more wisdom, I still believe that saying. Through the journey that I have walked so far, I can say that to be able to do what you love is truly a blessing! It is an honour, a joy and a great responsibility to be able to design for people!

Why do you do what you do?

As an interior designer, I have the opportunity to make a significant impact on people's lives by creating environments that enhance their quality of life and well-being. Seeing the genuine happiness and satisfaction of my clients is a testament of how design can improve someone's life!

Where is your next travel destination?

Would love to visit New Zealand with my family this year or next year! To see some mountains and beautiful landscapes!

If you have unlimited resources, which world problem would you wrestle with?

For education to be available everywhere in the world. I believe that wisdom and knowledge are treasures that no one else can take away from you. This quote resonates too, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”. Education indeed holds the potential to transform lives and empower individuals to create a better future for themselves and their communities! The impact of empowering others through knowledge and wisdom extends far beyond individual growth—it has the potential to create a ripple effect that uplifts communities and even nations. Seeing people grow and develop in ways they never thought possible is truly rewarding!

What's a good film/series/book/podcast to recommend?

One of my guilty pleasure is reading fantasy adventure books. And one of the series I will not stop recommending is the Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson! Exceptional world building, intricate and complex characters and masterfully curated plots are just chef kiss! Also, I am a big fan of the manga/anime One Piece!

If you could only eat this for the rest of your life- what would it be?

Tough question but the first food that pop out of my mind is "Tofu Sisig". It's a vegetarian alternative to this Filipino dish "Sisig". I love it so much that thinking about it makes me crave it...

Why is good design important to you ?

Good quality design has the potential to stand the test of time and continue to captivate and inspire people for generations to come! When design is executed with care, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of both form and function, it can transcend trends and maintain its relevance and beauty over the years. A good design that evokes an emotional response and connects with people is one reason I do what I do.

Describe the best experience that comes to mind

After a long day, I have this nightly routine of being in a comfortable atmosphere and haven of my room. Precious time to just pause and reflect. Allowing myself to disconnect from the world and truly unwind.
