This is the family’s second home. True to their personalities- colorful and vibrant, we received an enjoyable brief to chew on.

What a turn around!
Before we started, along with the clients, we noticed that the home was generally dark and dated. The kitchen and the home’s corridors were especially dimly lit, even in the day. Some functional issues were the lack of store space for the growing family.
We decided to borrow light from the living room and have it spill into the kitchen. The home breathed better after. Applying lighter finishes, natural lighting was allowed to bounce into dark spaces, creating an illusion of openness.

The family were certainly a daring bunch, not shying away from bold patterns and brighter colors.

More geometrical fun on the kitchen floor - this was surely a highlight for our clients, and us during the planning stage.
