This design concept for a family of four follows a natural colour palette of mid toned wood and Wabi Sabi textures. We proposed to keep the existing cream marble flooring and parquet bedroom floors, and implement more wood tones to create a warm cosy home.
A slim dry pantry counter is introduced to the original dining room, where snacks and drinks can be assessed easily by everyone. To lighten the visual bulkiness of built-in storage, fluted glass panels are proposed at the pantry as well as the kitchen doors.
In the living room, the ceiling plane curves down to create a soft cove light effect. Mirroring the curved concept is the TV feature wall that peels away to reveal a private reading corner for the family.
